Remarks: Donald Trump Holds a Virtual Tele-Rally for Andy Ogles - July 28, 2026

Well, thank you very much, Andy. I appreciate it. And hello, Tennessee. We won it six times in a row, including primaries. We won it all the time, and we won by record. We have the largest vote in the history of Tennessee, and that's a great honor for as far as I'm concerned, that's the ultimate honor. But I love the state, as you know.

And you have an incredibly important primary election coming up in your state next week on Thursday, August 6th, and early voting is currently underway until Saturday, August 1st, so you can do a little early voting and just show up on Thursday, August 6th. And I'm asking all of you to get out and vote for Andy Ogles.

He's been a friend of mine. He's been a terrific guy. I gave him a very early endorsement. And it's Tennessee's Fifth Congressional District. Polls open at 7 a.m. and they close at 7 p.m. So go out and vote for Andy Ogles, and he has my complete and total endorsement. He's been, as you know, born and raised in Tennessee, loves the state.

And Andy has a, uh, tremendously successful career as a businessman before, deciding to enter public life where he's done very well. And he ran for his local mayoral office that he won, and he served four years and did a great job. And during that time, he was recognized as Tennessee's most conservative mayor.

That's not bad. For the past three years, he proudly represented the Fifth District in Congress, and he has continued to be a fearless warrior for the people of Tennessee. And he fights tirelessly to grow the economy, cut taxes, all of the things that we do. Cut taxes and regulations. We gave you the biggest tax cut in history.

And the great Big, Beautiful Bill, as you know, is no tax on tips, no tax on, uh, you look at the no tax for Social Security, our great seniors, no tax on overtime. And those are things that alone should give us a tremendous victory in the midterms. We gotta win the midterms and keep. And they really literally have turned out to be communists.

Keep the communists out. But Andy's very big on Amer- -- American energy dominance where I've excelled because we're, we're, the numbers are, wait till you see the numbers start to drop as soon as the Iran situation's over. And by the way, I do Iran because we cannot allow them to have a nuclear weapon. Very simple.

They're somewhat crazy, I'm being nice. You cannot let them have a nuclear weapon and they will never have a nuclear weapon, and they understand it. We've taken them, we've hit them very hard and they wanna make a deal so badly. But Andy also safeguards elections and he wants to do that. And I've been doing it for a long time now.

We've got our point along. And also, you know, we have something called the SAVE America Act. And that's about saving America. Very simply, we have to have great elections, proof of citizenship and voter ID. Uh, Andy's strong on crime, strengthens our military, and defends our Second Amendment, which is under siege, but nobody's done a thing, in all the years I've been there, nobody's touched our Second Amendment.

Uh, they want to. It, it is truly, and when I say under siege, it really is. Andy has always been there when we needed him and when I needed him, he cast the pivotal votes to help us achieve the strongest and most secure border in history. We have the most secure border in the history of our country. He was an essential vote in passing the great, Big, Beautiful Bill, the largest tax cuts in American history.

And, uh, as you know, in the first term where we had the best economy up until now, the best economy we've ever had in my first term, uh, Andy was, uh, with me all the way in getting the bill. I believe we're gonna blow the first term away in terms of the economy. I think we'll have the strongest. I think it'll beat even the first term.

We had the most successful first term in terms of economy and history. I think this is gonna blow it away. We'll get the war over with. We will, when we get them to sign on the dotted line, no nuclear weapons. So Andy also made interest on auto loans, tax deductible. He was very helpful in that. And, uh, well, doing that, but only if you have your car made in America, because we have car factories being built all over the country, more than ever built in history.

I did that through tariffs. And, uh, the tariffs say, "You don't have to pay tariffs if you build your, if you manufacture your cars in the United States." As your representative in Congress, Andy's also been a champion of Tennessee's incredible farmers who I love. I get their vote by massive numbers and we love our farmers.

And he stood strong for our veterans, our military, our law enforcement officers, our great heroes of ICE and Border Patrol who are also, you talk about the Second Amendment, they're under siege and unfairly. They're incredible, great American patriots. And they do a job that's very, very tough getting some of the criminals, getting all of the criminals out that Biden allowed in through the open borders.

And very importantly, uh, Andy strongly supports all of the things that we mentioned, but he really is going to town on the SAVE America Act. So important. Andy will be really enshrined as one of the best congressmen that you'll ever see. He's just fantastic. And as you also understand, no men in women's sports and no transgender mutilization of your children.

Uh, the transgender surgery is absolutely ridiculous and we're stopping it. And we've got it pretty well stopped. We have to go all the way. Andy's gonna do that. No men in women's sports, no transgender surgery on children. So once again, uh, vote early on August, remember this, August 1st, get out and vote and on Thursday, August 6th, that's your day.
