[Interview begins in progress]
[In progress] -- Republicans lose Congress?
Well, the Republicans have to win. We have no other choice. The Democrats would destroy our country. We'd end up in a depression, in my opinion. What they were doing on the border, and nobody knows better than Texas, but what they were doing on the border with letting 25 million people pour through, and a lot of them came right through your state. And disgraceful.
And now, we have a closed border. It's perfect. In fact, they just announced 17 months with no illegal aliens. Zero. It's hard to believe, actually. Zero illegal aliens coming into our country. And, uh, we have a great border. We have more money being invested in the United States right now than at any time, uh, ever in history, uh, for any country, by the way.
No other country's ever had anything like it, $21 trillion. Uh, I think very importantly, 401(k)s are at the highest point they've ever been. With Biden, they went down 25%, and with us, they're up 50-something percent. Uh, think of it. They went down 25 and we're up, I think, 57 or so percent. Uh, the stock market, all-time highs, 84, uh, days now out of a short, a little bit more than a year and a half.
Uh, 84, so big percentage of time, every time, up, up, up. And the country's just doing really well and we're beating Iran very badly. Uh, there's no more nuclear weapon threat. Uh, they are a mess right now. And what's going to happen will be as soon as that's over, which will be shortly, uh, oil prices are gonna come tumbling down.
Love to hear that. What does a Republican victory in November mean for your agenda?
Well, I think it means for legacy. I think it's so important. Having a victory is, uh, really an affirmation. The thing is I had to do Iran because they would've had a nuclear weapon, and then you would've found out what problem. I say it all the time. Uh, uh, let's see what would happen if they ever did something like to Los Angeles or San Diego.
Those seem to be the, the most, uh, prominent because of location, and I'm talking about through missiles. Uh, that would be terrible if a thing like that happened. And you wanna see problems. Let them hit Los Angeles or let them hit a place like San Diego or let them hit one of our major cities. That's called a problem.
Can you talk to me a little bit about data centers? Do you think Republicans communicated the benefits well enough?
No, I don't think so. And I think what happens is the company should pay communities a lot of money, whether it's educational money or money directly to people that live there through like a dividend or something, and the data centers would be very popular. People don't mind the data center. Well, the problem with data centers, they're so good and they're bringing our, our country so far advanced, but let the communities benefit.
And I, and what I told the companies the other day, they have plenty of money, make contributions toward the community and the communities will love them.
Love to hear it. Thank you so much for your time. I appreciate it.
Thank you very much.
