Mr. President?
Thank you, sir.
Okay, we'll go real fast 'cause we're --
Sounds good. Mr. President, good to meet you. Three, two. Mr. President, thank you for being here. Thank you for being here in Kansas. You have had a lot of success here in Kansas. Republicans historically have had success here in Kansas, but this year's Senate race between Roger Marshall and Adam Hamilton has gotten a lot of national attention, including from your administration.
What is your perception about why this race has been so close and why has this gotten so heated?
Well, I think Roger, first of all, I have to say that he's one of the best senators we have. He's -- and that's why I'm here. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here. I think it's close. He's up a point or two, but that's -- he's gotta do -- I mean, he should be 20 points up. I understand both people, and the other one is not good.
He's got a lot of -- a lot of baggage, and Roger doesn't. Roger's an amazing guy, and he has been from day one. I wouldn't be doing this otherwise. It's a trip, although I do love being in Kansas. You know, we've won it all three times by the highest vote total ever. So I sort of like this place, but Roger's an outstanding guy and a great senator, and that's why I'm here.
When you come to the Midwest, you know that farmers are the backbone here in Kansas.
Right.
As local journalists, we hear from farmers daily and, and we hear from them and they talk about some of the concerns they have right now during harvest season, including high diesel costs, uh, market uncertainty, immigrant workforce as well. What is your message to the farmers and any relief for them in sight coming soon?
Oh, very big. Look, we're gonna be winning a war very soon. We could win it tomorrow. Frankly, we could leave today and we've already won. We have to stop them from having a nuclear weapon around. Uh, they're, uh, the number one state sponsor of terror, as you know, and for them to have a nuclear weapon would be tragic and would lead to total tragedy.
So we've done that and we will finish it off. And one way or the other, it's gonna be finished very soon. Uh, oil's gonna drop way down, diesel's gonna come way down, everything is. Uh, already our prices are much lower. And by the way, our oil is much lower. Let's say if you go to gasoline or oil, anything you wanna call it, much lower than Biden and much lower than Obama.
And we're also doing something that they should have done, stop the Iran situation because you just can't have that. We wouldn't have a, even a world. I mean, the world is very thankful for what we're doing. So that'll be over fast. The oil will be coming down, but food prices have come way down. The groceries, so to speak, have come way down.
And I think we're doing a great job. We inherited the highest inflation in history and now -- literally the highest in history from Biden -- and now it's down. For the last three months, it was 1.8% for three months, for the last three months. So we've got that one pretty well taken care of. And, uh, you're gonna see some very low oil prices very soon.
Mr. President, my last question is, you made a post on social media last month regarding Bombardier --
I did.
-- saying that the U.S. would threaten to ban the sale of aircraft if the Bombardier did not do manufacturing here in the United States. Bombardier has roots here in Kansas. We have heard from lawmakers, including, uh, Republican Senator Roger Marshall, saying that he wants to keep those jobs here in Kansas.
Is there any update with Bombardier --
Yeah.
-- in talks with Canada?
Well, I can tell you because of Roger Marshall and because of, uh, the fact that they really have been very nice and he's done some introducing, we're gonna take good care of them. Uh, they're considered a Canadian company and Canada's been taking advantage of the United States, as you know, for many, many decades, and I put a stop.
We lose $90 billion a year with Canada and, uh, they feel very privileged, but we can't do that. We can't do that as a country. We're, we're getting rid of all the deficits. We're bringing things back down to order and the proper order. But we're gonna take care of Bombardier, and a lot of that has to do with Roger Marshall.
Mr. President, thank you for your time.
Thank you very much. Thank you. Nice to see you. Great job.
Pleasure. Thank you. Pleasure. Thank you.
Good professional, he is. [Laughs]
Thank you so much.
Have a good time.
Thank you so much. Yes.
Sir, we're gonna bring in your first [Inaudible] Thank you, everyone.
Yeah, sorry. Thank you, Mr. President.
Good luck.
