Well, here we are. It's always a huge thrill and an honor. Last time this great man was on my show, he was just campaigning to be president. But I know there's a God. How do I know that, because he won and he won easily. He was a great 45th president of the United States. Now he's the 47th. You know, I used to say he's the best president in my lifetime, but I've amended that.
I can do that. He is the best president in the history of the United States, my friend, President Donald J. Trump. Mr. President, I missed you. Welcome back.
Well, that's -- what a welcome that is. I think I like that. Maybe that goes to number one all time. That's about as good as you can get. I can't get any better than that, Sid. Thank you very much. I feel the same way about you. You're terrific and you have a great show.
Thank you.
I love doing it.
Thank you. And I'm being sincere. I -- you know, it was wild getting you to this place, but here we are. And, you know, I was talking to your daughter-in-law, actually today, Lara.
Right.
And I said, if somebody said to me, ask the president what he's most proud of, he's nearing 100 days, almost 100 days. I say, this guy has done more in less than 100 days than Obama and Biden did combined in 12 years, 12 years.
Yeah. Yeah.
I can't pick one thing. Can you pick one thing?
Well, first, I'll start by saying they were very bad for our country, what they've done, and especially this last guy. He was horrible for our country. And I think, you know, with -- with all of the problems that he caused with inflation and all of the obvious things, the war, by the way, the, you know, wars that should have never happened.
And Afghanistan, the most embarrassing period of time in the history of our country. I believe it really was. But with all of it -- you know, I look at what happened in the border, where he allowed millions and millions -- 21 million people. But many of those people were just stone-cold criminals, and I think we've done such a job.
Did you read where we're 99 percent now?
Yes.
99 percent. It's like almost 100 percent. Nobody can even believe it's possible. We have the border totally locked down, except we do allow people to come in legally. You know, as many as we can. They have to go through a whole process, pass tests, everything else, but they come in legally. But we have it locked down, and that was just horrible.
Look, you're one of the -- you got it hit -- you got hit. That Roosevelt Hotel, I passed that a few weeks ago. It was so horrible to look at what was going on there. I mean, I remember Madison Avenue as a little different place than that, Sid, slightly different than what I saw there. I couldn't believe.
And anyway, we locked down the border and we have crime down, the kind of crime that that's caused. And we've moved tremendous numbers of people out, really bad ones, including murderers and drug dealers and prisoners. And you know -- it'd be lifetime prisoners, where they let them into our country and nobody even knows what they did wrong.
They know it was murder of some kind, you know? They were in for life, so typically it's rather serious, right, but they let him into our country. So I think that would be one of the big things. But even -- look, the economy. We're doing so well and we're going through a process too and we're making our country rich.
And a lot of people don't know that because they don't understand. You know, it's a little complicated, to be honest, for some people. And for some people, it's natural. But we're taking in billions and billions of dollars in tariffs from countries that -- where it was reversed. And we're doing great and we're doing really great.
And you know, we had the -- we had, think of it, when people figured it out, they gave us the biggest day in the history of our country in terms of they had almost 3,000 ups. You know, when they say, how'd the market go, well, 3,000 up today. Nobody ever heard -- you know, usually it's two up, five up.
Right, right.
We're 3,000 up, and it was the biggest day in the history of the stock markets. And so, you know, look, we did -- we've done so much. But the border is totally secure and quickly. And, you know, he said you need legislation, no, you didn't need that. And, you know, you heard the statement you just needed a different president, and it's -- the border is in great shape now and we're, you know, transitioning into something that could be very special.
We're really resetting the table for our country.
You know, you're being humble when you say we needed a different president. No, we needed Trump. We needed you, because -- I'm serious. No one's done with this border -- I got to tell you, you know, I'm watching Collins. I said -- I'll be honest. I've spoken to her in the past Mr. President. Because I know you.
I go, this is the way you talk to President Trump. And every time CNN and these people have an opportunity, they mess it up. What you did on Monday by having Pam Bondi and JD Vance and Steve Miller and Marco Rubio answer to them --
Yeah.
-- was so brilliant. But you know, I really thought for a second, President Trump, for a second, that when you won this time some, of these people would come along. They haven't.
Yeah.
You know, the old, bumbling fool was back at it in Chicago last night, Biden, lying about how you want to end Social Security. I've heard the same thing about Medicare and Medicaid. Thank God you're fighting back with companies like CBS and even NPR. And I love the fact that the administration is going after that repulsive AG, Letitia James, right now.
I mean, these people just don't stop. Schumer is the same guy. Hakeem Jeffries, he's the same guy. Are you surprised?
A little bit surprised, but -- but they are different. They've lost their confidence. They don't have any confidence anymore. Now, you mentioned, I think Collins, you mean Kaitlan Collins.
Yeah.
She was so terrible the other day.
Terrible.
And she's just terrible, got no talent. She's not smart. And she represents CNN, and their ratings are down the tubes. I mean, they're just down the tubes. They have no -- almost nobody watching. It's like, what is it, outside of the top 100? You know, what they've done to that -- what they've done to that network that is like not even --
No.
Maybe they should put you on. Do your show on -- I could give them ideas right now, put your show on. But you got better with John Catsimatidis.
Oh, yes. Yes, no he's great. He's great.
OK? You're much better off with John than those loser.
But it is -- it is odd that these people -- you know, this guy's a bad guy, this guy that you sent to El Salvador.
Yeah.
And they don't care. They don't care how many rapes they commit, how many murders they commit.
Yeah.
They want to keep them here, Mr. President.
Well, it's activist judges, and these judges are unbelievable. And they don't want to hear about, you know, they're MS13 instead of Tren de Aragua. OK? They have -- oh, they're MS -- well, you didn't say that. You know? And the MS13 is just as bad, about equals. They're about equals, meaning as bad as you can possibly get.
There's nobody worse than these people. But they're MS13, and based on that, somebody who is supposedly misrepresented. It's just unbelievable. But it's working out. It's very, very sad though when, you know, you're fighting like hell to catch these people. When you catch them, they want you to go through 10 years of courts, you know, take them through the court system on an individual basis.
And, you know, just it's very sad to see what what's going on. But we've turned it around, Sid. I'll tell you, we're respected again as a country. I have every leader from all over the world calling, wanting meetings. And Biden didn't. He couldn't. Number one, he only worked like minutes a day. The rest of the time, he spent sleeping.
He did something -- I joke about it, but it's actually not funny. He was able -- had the great ability -- you couldn't do this, Sid, to fall asleep on the beach with the press going and within minutes, he was out cold, right? I could never do that, and you could never do that either.
No, we don't sleep, guys like you and I.
No, no.
No, we don't sleep.
It's crazy.
You talk about the leaders in the countries. I got to tell you this. So this whole tower thing is going on, right.
Yeah.
So I know it's anecdotal, President Trump. I don't speak to 75, 80 million people who love you and voted for you, but I speak to a lot of people. I'm number one in New York. I'm a big-time guy, OK?
Right.
I haven't found one person, not one who said to me, you know, I got buyer's remorse. I never -- I never should have voted for Trump. He's killing me. Nobody. Know what they said, they go, I place my faith in Trump. He's going to win this. He's going to make deals with these other countries.
Yeah.
And eventually, China's going to do the same thing because they don't have a choice. Not one person has said to me, I've got buyer's remorse, not one.
So what's happened is -- you saw today's polls. We're actually more popular. People get it. They like it. They like that we're fighting for the country. We're fighting for the country. I mean, we're really fighting for the soul of the country, what's happened to this -- to us in these four years of Biden.
I think it probably makes us more popular because they see how bad it was. You know, it was more traditional; we did great in that 2020 election, unbelievable. We won that thing by so much and you don't even have to talk about it because people sort of -- you know, actually for the last year, people are talking about it because there's so much evidence now and so much -- But when they look at, you know, how bad it was and then they look at how great it is now, like at the border, where you have a border that's actually a really strong border, they see that and they see so many other things.
You know, we wrote off -- we did so many executive orders, record numbers. And things like water coming out of the shower head, water coming out of the faucets, water going into your dishwasher that you were -- you were allowed to have like a quarter of a glass and now you can have as much water as you want pouring over those dishes.
You know, they press the button 10 times in a dishwasher, but so many things. A straw. I actually had to rule out the paper straws that were melting. If you had coffee, if you had anything, the damn thing would melt and it didn't feel good either, you know, when you're using it.
Yeah, yeah.
And we wiped that out and we went to -- you know, we went to the plastic straws that are quite good. They've worked very well for a long time, right? But we did -- you know, those are the little things, but those little things add up and people see it. You know, the water. Like when you go into somebody's new house or a hotel or something that's new and you turn on -- you wash your hands and no water comes out, like it drips out.
The worst.
And it's -- it's -- these things are really bothersome. Lights, you know where they make you use these terrible lights that, you know, you get a little more -- first of all, they cost you five times more, so you never make back your money. You know, they cost so much more. But we gave you the -- the option of going to the old-fashioned whatever and things like that, they all add up. But then we have the big things, that we're doing well with trying to extinguish wars that were -- would never have happened.
October 7th, Israel would have never happened. Iran was broke, would have never happened. And the war with Russia and Ukraine where -- you know, they're losing 2,500 young people a week. OK? Think of that. And what I want to do is I want to stop having to pay billions of dollars for this ridiculous war that should have never been started.
Of course.
But I really want to stop -- you know, they're not from here. They're not from any place -- they're from Russia and they're from Ukraine, but losing 2,500 kids, mostly young kids, every single week on average. Think of that. And so I think we're doing well in getting that stopped, or hopefully soon we'll get it stopped.
And who knows, but I think we'll get it.
Well, the Iran thing -- but the Iran thing is big for me because -- first, I'm going back to Israel, Mr. President. About two weeks, again, Mike Huckabee is going to be there and a host of other people.
Oh, good. That's a good choice, right?
Oh, that was a great choice.
Mike. Is that a great --
That was a great choice. You did great. You did great.
Oh, he's fantastic.
I love him.
He's going to be -- and everybody likes him, both sides, to be honest with you.
That's right. That's right.
Everybody likes him.
That's right. That's important. You want everybody to like him. So -- but the Iran thing, look, this is my opinion, OK? I'm not the president of the United States, I'm a radio host. You run the country. But I think --
Right.
I think you're right. I think Iran is actually kind of, you know, stepping very, very slowly. And I'd like to see Iran run a little. I'd like to see a little bit of hurt because I don't think they're going to come to the table with all seriousness until there's a little bit of hurt, a little bit.
Yeah. Well, you see what we're doing to the Houthis, OK?
Yeah.
The Houthis are not feeling so good now.
No.
And, you know, people have been after them for years. They like -- that's the group that likes blowing ships up, you know, with a lot of people dying going down as the ship goes down. That's an interesting group. But we've been hitting them for 30 days and they are not feeling well. They're not feeling well.
We haven't seen any ships go down recently, let's put it that way.
No.
But you have to hit -- I understand what you mean. If we could solve it without what you're saying or suggesting, that'll be nice. We'll see what happens. It will get solved one way or the other.
Oh, I know that.
The bottom line is, Sid, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
Right.
That's the bottom line, very simple.
I agree.
Very simple.
You know, we talked about some of these other people that have not warmed up to you, but I have to say, President Trump, when you walked into the arena in Miami last Saturday for that UFC fight --
Yeah, well --
And then -- and then I see the night before, you're having dinner with Bill Maher. Bill Maher said some of the most horrible things about you for years and you know what he says now, he goes, I sit with President Trump, it's more comfortable than Obama, than Clinton. I'll be honest with you, I think he really likes you.
When you see that, I know that makes you happy.
I always felt that, but you know, he's -- look, he's a really tremendous entertainer, when you think of it. And we had a great time. We had a great evening with Dana White and Kid Rock. Yeah, we had a great time. It was -- it was terrific. And he was very honest about it. He's a talented guy, good guy. He's a good guy, actually.
It was -- you know, you don't know. You watch on television. But I saw deep down -- I saw -- I saw deep down just a little bit of a like toward Trump. You know, you'd have to be -- you'd have to have a certain kind of a mind to think that, but deep down there, I said, there's a liking. He certainly talks about me a lot, right?
Right.
But no, we got along great. It was a great -- it was really a very nice evening, to tell you the truth.
One more, I'll let you run. I say this all the time, until you meet my friend, President Trump, you have no idea how great he is. People talk about you. They've never met you. Even your biggest detractors, people that hate your guts, if they sat down with you for 15 minutes, they would love you. I'm telling you, that's an absolute truth.
Last one. We got a big race here for mayor in New York. Obviously, Eric Adams, we know what's happened with him. Just so you know, Andrew Cuomo is not saying nice things about you, just in case somebody is telling you differently. Adams -- Adams, don't forget, referred to himself as for two and a half years as the Biden of Brooklyn.
Curtis Sliwa, that's my guy. So there's a lot of people running in this race that I don't particularly like because they don't like you. And New York, as you just pointed out, Roosevelt Hotel, fancy pants in New York doesn't look good. What are your thoughts on this mayor race?
Yeah. Well, it's very sad what's happened to New York. When I left it was a hot place. And look, de Blasio was a disaster.
Yeah.
You know, when we talk about Harvard, de Blasio's paid a big salary. He was brought to Harvard to teach management, you know, city management, municipal management. Give me a break. He was the worst -- he was the worst mayor in the history of the city and one of -- probably one of the worst mayors ever in history.
And then you had the one from Chicago. She was also brought into Harvard. So -- and you see what we're doing with Harvard.
Yep.
And this, in theory, doesn't have much to do with it, but how can they have professors like that and say it's good? You can't. I mean, you know, say Harvard's good. Is Harvard really good? De Blasio was such a bad mayor, but -- so you see it was starting to head south a little bit. But you know, when I was there, it was so -- it was -- it was still New York.
Now we have to bring it back. So whoever wins, I'll be president and I'll be working with them to try and save the city and bring it back.
Yeah, I'd be -- if I didn't mention the fact the job you're doing with these universities from Columbia to Harvard, yeah, at least Stefanik, I'm glad she went back to Congress, we need her much more there.
She's great. Well, I didn't want to take any chances. You know?
Yeah, yeah.
I didn't want to take a chance. She's fantastic, by the way. So nice that she agreed to do that. But you know, she's very popular. But the people that would follow her, maybe they -- you know, bad things could happen and we don't want to take any losses. We have a -- now we have a majority by seven, seven is beautiful because for a while we were at one.
Can you imagine, one? And we lived with one and we did okay with one.
Yeah.
But now we have seven. So seven is like -- when you get used to one, seven is like --
It's a big deal. Yeah.
Yeah, it's like we hit -- we hit the jackpot.
And you mentioned the word beautiful. On the way out here, we got to mention the great job that Mike Johnson did with your Big, Beautiful Bill.
Oh, yeah.
Mr. President, that's a big deal.
Yeah. Well, it's getting close. It has another round to go. You know that. But it's hard -- it's hard to envision nobody doing -- it would be -- if we don't win, it'll be the biggest tax decrease ever, biggest tax cut ever. And if for some reason the Democrats can stop it -- and it's only Democrats, if they stop it, it'll be the biggest tax increase in history by far.
I would think that's not a very popular thing, so I think we're going to be in good shape. Mike Johnson is doing great. And I'll tell you something, John Thune is doing great. Both of them, they're doing great. They're doing a great job.
They are and they all follow your lead. I can't thank you enough. Every time you come on, Mr. President, it's a huge thrill. I mean, I love you as a person. I know you're the president, you're a big -- but I just think you're a terrific guy and you come on this show and you take a number one show to even bigger than number one, so I can't thank you enough.
I really can't.
Yeah, well -- well, I think you're terrific and you've always been good. A long time ago -- I've known you a long time and you never veered from greatness. So now it's nice to see people recognize it. But I knew -- I knew you before, they recognized that. You understand that, right?
Yes.
I mean, you were always terrific. Yeah, Sid. So just say hello to everybody and I'll see you soon. We'll do it again soon. OK?
I can't wait. Keep up the great work and God bless you. And, you know, Happy Easter coming up on Sunday and Happy Holy Week and thank you for the happy Passover wishes. That was a lovely video you put up a couple of days ago. Thank you so much.
Well, and I meant it. You just take care of yourself, Sid. I'll see you soon.
Take care. Mr. President, there he is, the greatest president in the history of this country and just a super guy. He's a wonderful man, my friend, President Trump.
