Remarks: Donald Trump Holds a Virtual Tele-Rally for Rob Wittman - September 17, 2026

Well, Rob, thank you very much, and hello to the great Commonwealth of Virginia. There's a very important election for Congress coming up. It is so important, and it's on November 3rd, as you all know. I'm sure you're -- anybody on this phone would know it's exactly November 3rd. And I'm asking all of you to get out and vote for your Republican representatives.

And they are incredible. They're warriors. I work with them all the time, and we've won so much and gotten so many things that nobody else could have gotten. It's Rob Wittman, who you know, and Jen Kiggans, who you know, and John McGuire. And we've had tremendous success with the Great Big, Beautiful Bill and all of the things that it represents, and tremendous tax cuts, no tax on overtime.

Think of that, no tax on social security for our great seniors. Think of that one. I mean, nobody thought these things were possible. And of course, no tax on tips. And all of that will be terminated if the Democrats get in and so many other things too, so many other things. So, uh, we worked and we got all of these things for you, and we're gonna keep them for you.

The Democrats wanna -- we had the biggest tax cut in history, and the Democrats wanna give you the biggest tax increase. It'll destroy our economy, which is going at record levels. You saw the numbers two days ago. 162,000 jobs, was five times higher than people thought. But if the Democrats, as I call them, the Democrats, because their policy is so bad, if the Democrats win, they'll try to destroy all of our incredible success.

And you, uh, have to do one favor for me, pretend that I'm on the ballot. Because when I've been on the ballot, which has been three times, we've gotten tremendous turnout. And when I'm not, we don't get the same turnout. And I'm just telling you, if you pretend I'm on the ballot, we're gonna have a tremendous vote.

We're gonna have a tremendous victory on November 3rd, and it's so important. So get out and vote. But I, I feel like I'm on the ballot. And just, uh, if you have to pretend that I am, you have to get out and vote. And just to go specific, Rob Wittman is running for reelection to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District.

And he's fought tirelessly for you, and I know that because we've been together fighting. As vice chairman of the House Armed Service Committee, the Armed Services Committee is really, as you know, one of the most powerful, one of the most important in Congress. He helped deliver the largest investment in our military in history.

And, uh, your state is a very big, very, very big, uh, place for the military. I mean, military is a big factor. I won it by massive numbers, but military is a very, very big factor. And he was also the pivotal vote for the largest tax cuts in the history of our country, including what I just said, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social security for our seniors.

And he voted for the Save America Act, and we're gonna get the Save America Act passed. It's gonna happen. The House just voted on it again, actually. And it's gonna be, uh, gonna make a big difference with voting and everything else. But Rob is running against a radical Democrat named Shannon Taylor, totally radical left, and she's crazy, who wants to lower penalties for attacking police office- -- wants to have it considered not a crime to attack a police officer, and supports releasing criminals with no cash bail.

No cash bail is what started the crime. And by the way, our crime records are the best in the history of our country, despite the fact that Biden allowed 25 million people to come into our country. And they came in from prisons, they came in from mental institutions, the people that came in, they came in as murderers, you know that. 11,888 murderers. 50% of them committed more than one murder, and they allowed them into our country.

So Virginia, go out and vote for Rob Wittman. Rob has been amazing. They -- all three of these, by the way, I don't wanna repeat myself. They've been amazing. They're warriors and we work together and we work together well and they want -- they stand for everything that you and I want. And I can just tell you, uh, when it comes to the Second Amendment, they're very, very powerful also.

And we're fighting for that because they always wanna take away your Second Amendment. So next up is Jen Kiggans, an incredible advocate for Virginia's 2nd Congressional District. And she's a former Navy helicopter pilot. And they say a really good one. By the way, I did ask that question. They say she's really good.

And in Congress, she's fought to grow the economy and put more money in your pockets. Jen Kiggans is a patriot who voted to ban insider trading by members of Congress, which I would totally support. But a radical left Democrat opponent, Elaine Luria, said she's not gonna vote for that, and she's part of the Pelosi corruption scandal that's going on in Congress.

I mean, Kel- -- Pelosi was a totally corrupt politician. Everybody knows it. So Virginia already fired Elaine once. She was fired. She was there and she got fired. And we don't want her back. She was terrible. So please go out and vote for Jen Kiggans. Jen is, uh, gonna do a phenomenal job. She continues.

And it's, it is true. They fired, they fired the congressman, your other opponent. Your opponent, they fired her and, and fired her badly, they couldn't stand her. So vote for Jen Kiggans. And finally we have an America First Warrior, somebody I'm very proud of because he beat somebody in the primary that was not so easy to beat.

Uh, somebody that we were not happy with and he came in as, and done a fantastic job. He's a former Navy SEAL, Representative John McGuire from Virginia's 5th district. And John McGuire has been a rock-solid vote for strong borders, low taxes, low regulations, strong military and supporting our vets. And I must tell you that all three have exactly those same qualities.

Everything I just said, that's all three. John's opponent is Tom Perriello, who is a left-wing radical lunatic who spent years working for George Soros. He's a Soros, uh, sycophant. He's a terrible person, they say. I don't know him. I can't vouch for it, but I hear he's a terrible person. Uh, Democrat Tom Perriello wants to raise your taxes, abolish our borders.

He wants to let everyone come into our country like they did. 25 million people came into our country under Biden. He wants to have totally open borders so the entire world can dump their prisoners and everybody else, their murderers, their drug dealers into our country. We're not gonna let that happen again.

And, uh, set loose a violent criminal rampage like we had. You know, we have the lowest crime numbers in history, despite the fact that 25 million people came in. We got a lot of them out. We got many of them out. As an example, I'm very proud of it. Washington D.C. was one of the most dangerous cities in the United States.

Our capital, how sad. And now it's one of the safest in the United States. It just said crime is down 82%. We brought in our, uh, military. We brought in, frankly, would do anything we could to stop it. But the National Guard came in and did a phenomenal job working with the police. Down 82%, is going higher than that.

It was really like almost a dead city deserted and now it's so vibrant you can't get into a restaurant. Restaurants were closing all over the place. Now they're opening all over the place. And I wanna tell you, John McGuire really helped and so did our other two great patriots. So I'm on the call making it for three.

I've never done this before. I've done three. It's so important to me, I wanted to do all three. And this has been an amazing experience at tele-town halls. We get tremendous crowds, tremendous numbers of people listening, but these are -- first time I've done a threesome. These are three great people. Rob Whitman, Jen Kiggans, John McGuire all have my complete and total endorsement.

They will never, ever let you down. They'll, they're just spectacular warriors. They really are. And you have to, again, pretend that I'm on the ballot because this way everyone's gonna go out and vote. Every time I'm on the ballot, but I am on the ballot, really, if you think about it, because they're gonna destroy everything that we did.
